This is the trip that started it all – Zermatt Switzerland in October! This will be our tenth year going to Zermatt for great reason; the weather, the village, the mountain experience and fantastic accommodations makes this trip our most popular destination! You can enjoy this trip over either a one or two-week period and can either to upgrade your certification, get a head start on gate training or refine your skiing skills to get to the next level of performance with your own skiing.

The mountain village of Zermatt is one of the great ski and climbing centres of the world. Nestled in a deep valley enclosed between steeply scarped mountains, it is dominated by the huge and gracefully curved pyramid of the Matterhorn.

From the moment you step off your Swiss-red train, and catch sight of the cobbled streets, you know you are in a special place. What strikes me most often is the silence. There are no cars here. This immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere. But more than this, you immediately feel a part of the village. It draws you in. Most everyone is on foot, locals and visitors alike. The main street bustles happily with pedestrians. There are no impersonal tour buses belching out noise, fumes, and package tourists. Zermatt is no auto through-route. The train stops here. All journeys on from here are on foot or ski. Everyone is here because they love mountains. Walking through the cobbled paths of town, between the ancient sunburnt barns and chalets, you catch your first glimpse of the Matterhorn and know you have come to the right place. You will immediately feel like you have stepped back in time. Welcome to Zermatt.

The Zermatt package includes the following:

  • Deposit: December 2nd ($500.00 CAD)
    2nd payment: December 23rd ($1,500.00 CAD)
    Balance: January 27th ($1,250.00 CAD)

    Level 2 Course: $300.00
    Level 3 Course: $300.00
    Single room supplement: $500.00

    The trip is all inclusive including:

    - Swiss rail pass
    - Lodging
    - Meals (breakfast & dinner, not lunch)
    - Lift passes
    - Guiding 7 instruction (small groups 5 per Conductor max)

    The mountain will be fully open at that time of year - will be a great time!
